Lance Anderson, 47

Lance Anderson is a 47-year-old man who works as a lineman for Duke Power. His job involves installing power lines and repairing electrical distribution and transmission systems. Lance was born and raised in Forsyth, Georgia, and moved to Greensboro when he was 20 years old for a job opportunity. He is a devoted husband and father to his 13-year-old daughter, Grace and AJ. Lance is known for his charismatic personality and always puts his family first. When his wife, Kristen, expressed her desire to travel to London, Lance saw it as the perfect opportunity to take a break from work and spend quality time with his family. He is thrilled to have this chance to travel with his loved ones.

Alec John (AJ) Johnson, 17

Alec John (AJ) Anderson is 17 years old and a recent graduate from Greensboro Day School. AJ has a passion for basketball and has been playing the sport since he was 4 years old, AJ will be attending UNC Chapel Hill in the fall on a D1 scholarship to play his favorite sport. When AJ isn’t at the gym practicing he works as an Afterschool counselor/coach at Proehlific Park. In his free time, AJ enjoys taking care of and hanging out with his sister Grace. AJ is looking forward to this family vacation as he too, like his mother, enjoys history.

Kristen Anderson, 49

Kristen is the wife of Lance and mother of two wonderful children,AJ and Grace Anderson. Kristen has been a Registered Nurse in the Operating Room for 18 years. She is from Los Angeles, California she came to Greensboro at age 16 with her family and fell in love with North Carolina. She is very active and able to physically assist her daughter when needed. She loves to travel and is very outgoing. She loves to visit historical sites and learn more about the history of the city she is visiting. Kristen is super excited for this new adventure with her family.

Grace Anderson, 13

Grace Anderson, a 13 year old girl with Cerebral Palsy. CP is a disease that affects a person's ability to move and maintain posture.  Grace struggles to be like the normal kids in her class, however what she lacks in physically, she makes up for with her positive attitude.  With her piercing blue eyes and beautiful smile, and contagious laugh, she lights up any room.  Grace loves art and loves to look at artwork and make her own.  Grace is currently able to move with crutches and sometimes a walker, but she uses a wheelchair around for long distances.  Activities in London must be wheelchair friendly.
